[L] — Legal · Data & Permissions
Every permission, accounted for.
This is the NatureTones data-safety statement. It mirrors the app's manifest exactly (v1.0.0, build 1) and matches the Google Play Data Safety form.
[A] — Data collected / shared
Zero, and zero.
- CollectedNone. The app does not collect any data — not for functionality, not for analytics, not for ads.
- SharedNone. There is nothing to share. The app makes no network connections.
- AdsNo advertising SDKs are included in the build, and no ads are ever displayed.
[B] — Permissions requested
The exact list, with reasons.
- CameraScan QR codes for hand-to-hand animal transfer. Optional feature; never used otherwise.
- Audio recordingReserved for the alarm/ringtone feature (system playback confirmation). No audio is recorded or transmitted.
- Nearby Wi-Fi devicesWi-Fi Direct transfers between phones for the swap feature. Local only — no internet.
- Location (coarse + fine)Only on Android 6–11, for the optional offline hunt map. Used locally; never transmitted.
- NotificationsScheduled reminders and quiz notifications, per user setting.
- Alarms & exact alarmsSet animal sounds as alarms/ringtones at the time you pick.
- Ringtone / storageWrite a chosen sound to the system ringtone store (legacy Android paths).
- Connected-device serviceKeeps a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi transfer running in the background while a swap is active.
Every permission above is tied to an optional feature. The core experience — listening, browsing, playing — needs none of them.
[C] — Third parties
Only the ones you pick.
- Google PlayProcesses in-app purchase billing. Governed by Google's own policies.
- Future: your cloudA later version will offer optional backup of your collections to your own Dropbox or Google Drive account, only if you enable it in Settings. Your data goes to your account, not to us.
